Summary: What is the future of IT employment?

To answer "what is the future of IT employment?", it is important to firstly make clear about one point "What is IT going to be?" If you turn back and look at the development of IT, 56kbps modem connection is just hot new and everyone is looking for Pentium I. I was playing ICQ and IRC that time as it is not common yet. What is going on now? MSN is essential for everyone. Everyone can easily own a web server and domain name. You can do everything in the Internet... Dun wanna say more about now. And what is the future?
I believe, IT will become like cars... Everyone use it, everyone can fix certain level of it... and everyone not need to attend a degree course in order to know about it! So, there are two ways of getting profit in car industry: be very specialised to create sport car, or be very smart to make business earn money with cars...
Same as IT, I think we IT workers, in the future, can either be very professional in IT, which leading the technology, or, be very smart to merge business with IT. I have to admit that, with proper use of IT, a business can cut a lot of cost due to less employment. Implementing such merging advantages need 3 things: very detailed understanding of current technology, very accurate analysis of current marketing trend, and CREATIVITY!
So, three things : high level understanding of current technologies, accurate recognition of current business trend and creativity.
...

...
Bcoz, I dun wanna stay in a company for long just bcoz i can't find a similar job with same pay outside. I wanna stay in a company because it recognise my ability, trust me and let me try, even with low pay. So, the logic goes here

Find a company who recognise me
---------> Jump around companies
----------------------> Be skillful enough to jump around.

The future IT is IT + Business + Arts + Creativity.
